I'm not sure why this company has a low rating on Yelp, but my experience with them has been nothing short of flawless. Their work, customer service, and dedication to going above and beyond have truly impressed me, so I’m really glad I checked google and chose to go with them.
We recently moved into our 80-year-old home, which had an old oil furnace. Being new to the Seattle area, I searched extensively for a company that could handle the decommissioning of the oil furnace and the installation of a new Mitsubishi heat pump.
Ballard Natural Gas was the only company that managed everything efficiently. They even subcontracted the tank decommissioning to Cascade West Tank Services, another fantastic family-run business, all at a reasonable and honest price.
Everyone involved in the process—Tony, the sales representative; Zoe and Amy, the project managers; Alex, the engineer; DJ, the electrical technician; and fellow installers Anthony and Juan—were all outstanding.
Alex, the main engineer who performed the installation by himself, executed it flawlessly. My husband, who is also an engineer, appreciated the attention to detail and how meticulously Alex sealed the system.
Additionally, I needed to call the city inspectors for a follow-up inspection, which none of the other companies mentioned. The entire process, including the city inspectors coming to verify that the work was executed according to the permits, highlighted the integrity of this company and the high standards they maintain without cutting corners. This gave us a lot of peace of mind.
Some other companies we initially received quotes from attempted to upsell an electrical panel upgrade that we were made to believe was necessary before installing a heat pump. From day one, we felt confident that we had made the right decision by choosing Ballard Natural Gas, and we are excited that they will continue to maintain this system and take care of our future HVAC needs as well.
Choosing an HVAC company that is honest, reliable, and reasonably priced should not be difficult, and I thank Ballard Natural Gas for making this decision so easy for us. A++ to the entire team (you guys deserve that bonus)!
