I initially called Ballard Natural Gas Service because my old furnace was making a high-pitched noise. The technician was thorough and knowledgeable, explaining the issues and my repair options in great detail. I already suspected the unit was on its last legs, and while he confirmed that, he still provided a full itemized quote for the repairs that same day.
I decided to look into a total replacement instead, and their design expert, Tyler, came out that very afternoon. I opted for a heat pump and a new tankless water heater. It was a custom solution that involved reusing some existing ductwork while adding two new zones with mini-splits.
The installers, Brady and Cody, did a fantastic job. They worked efficiently, always used floor and furniture protection, and cleaned up thoroughly. They even stayed late on the final day to ensure the job was finished, only leaving once they were sure I was happy and had no remaining questions. They were also a pleasure to chat with—happy to explain the technical side of the job or share a bit about themselves. (Did you know Brady has 8 pet tarantulas?!)
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the new system and the entire experience. I wasn't expecting to do this much work when I first called, and while it was a significant investment, I never felt upsold. They were completely transparent with their pricing and the reasoning behind the system design. I truly feel I got a great deal considering the quality of the equipment and the professional workmanship.
Hot tip: Replace your furnace in March—it’s cheaper! 😬
