We just had Ballard Natural Gas Service replace our 30-year-old HVAC system with a dual fuel setup — a heat pump outside paired with a gas furnace inside. After the initial install, the indoor and outdoor units weren't communicating with each other. One of their technicians, Chris, came out and was able to quickly track down the source of the issue. When we noticed that the system was having a hard time cooling, Chris returned again to diagnose and tune the system. The system is working as expected now, but in the process of tuning, he caught a potential problem with the blower motor before it could become a bigger issue. Ballard is getting that replaced under warranty, no hassles. What stands out about Chris is his persistence and attention to detail. Dual fuel systems have a lot of moving parts that need to talk to each other correctly. Not only did he make sure everything was working correctly, he identified a component issue we wouldn't have known about otherwise.
