According to the U.S. Department of Energy, upgrading an older gas furnace from 56 to 90 percent annual fuel utilization efficiency will reduce your home’s greenhouse gas emissions by over a ton each year. This is because when natural gas burns in a furnace, it releases carbon dioxide and other emissions—high-efficiency models minimize this impact.
New furnaces use less energy to provide the same amount of comfort. They also come with a new warranty, protecting you against unexpected and costly repairs.
The Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit (25C) provides a tax credit of up to $600 on purchasing and installing qualifying high-efficiency furnaces. Our team will also inform you about local utility rebates.
